HOW WE WORK

The process we follow differs depending on whether you are seeking a full-service including design and renovations versus staging or decorating.

FIVE PHASES

FULL-SERVICE DESIGN & RENOVATION

For full-service projects we follow a proven 5-phase process.

PHASE 0

Initial discovery

This is an initial, no-obligation complimentary consultation. We use this time to conduct a site visit, discuss the scope of works, identify any early watch-outs from a demolition, re-build, engineering etc. perspective. And importantly, discuss your personal tastes and preferences and identify the form and function you are seeking.

PHASE 1

Design & renovation discovery

A second site visit is conducted with a builder and other trades as required. Photos are taken as well as preliminary measurements. This will enable opportunity to further solidify the renovation and design direction: align aesthetic goals and functional requirements, identify any constraints or risks, and provide a clear pathway for design, renovation and decoration delivery.

OUTPUTS

1 x discovery outcomes document including topline concepts & a mood board per space
1 x clear scope & recommended next steps for Phase 2

PHASE 2

Design development & selections

Following approval of Phase 1 recommendations, Phase 2 is where design decisions are made: materials, finishes and fixtures selected, continued alignment on aesthetics, function and budgets achieved, and overall preparation for renovation and decoration delivery the focus. New floor plans are developed with builder and engineer input sought as required to ensure feasibility and guidance relating to permits etc.

PHASE 3

Renovations including trades management

Following the securing of relevant permits and client approval of trade pricing, demolition and building works commence under the direction of the appointed builder. Design direction is continuously provided so approved direction is understood and followed, decisions are made efficiently during construction, and any issues resolved promptly. Ongoing advice and clarification is provided by the designer to the client throughout.

Execution of the approved design within agreed timeframes and budget parameters

PHASE 4

Styling & decoration

This is where your house becomes your new home. The intent of this final phase is to ensure cohesion and balance, layer warmth, texture and personality, and ensure your home feels finished, functional and intentional.

FOUR PHASES

DECORATING

For decorating we follow a proven 4-phase process.

PHASE 1

Discovery

In this phase, our primary goal is to understand your style, preferences, and the specific needs of your project. We begin with an initial consultation, a collaborative meeting where we dive into understanding what you want to achieve.

During this consultation, we listen carefully to your ideas and requirements. We want to know how you intend to use the space, ensuring that every design decision we make aligns with your brief.

PHASE 2

Concepts

Next, we develop mood boards and 3D renders for each space. Once approved, we find and document product selections for each space and provide them to you for approval.

We also document whether there are any deviations from agreed budget parameters based on selections made, and seek your approval to proceed. Once approved, this marks the completion of Phase 02, setting a clear path forward.

PHASE 3

Procurement

This phase is the culmination of all the hard work and creativity that has gone into designing your space.

Here, we manage the product research, pricing comparisons and negotiations, purchasing, delivery logistics, storage and finally, organising the transportation of all materials for installation.

The success of the procurement phase hinges on seamless coordination of stock availability and delivery schedules.

All furniture and decor items purchased within agreed budget parameters

PHASE 4

Installation & styling

This phase is dedicated to the physical set-up of your spaces, including furniture builds, artwork installation, all unpacking and styling of furniture and decor.

This moment marks the culmination of our collaborative effort and the beginning of your enjoyment of the beautifully transformed space.

Our relationship doesn't end with the project handover. We remain available to provide ongoing support and maintenance as needed.
